   Michael Palin at his finest! His voice, timing, expressions, all brilliant.
   I have never laughed so hard as I did when I first saw this sketch. For me it’s not only the funniest Python sketch ever, it’s the funniest by anyone.

    ha “hail” was something those people took from Romans. Look at what you see in those Nazi marches, all dressed up like Romans with those banners and flags. they did so much spending on art just as muh as they did on engineering

    Had they assulted Pilate, the event would be noted as a rebellion, where as the Empire would send the army to either slaughter them or crucify them. So yes, they had to take that.
